Tuesday, September 30, 2008. No Fun Films just had its test audience World premiere of its locally produced Vampire Film After the Blood Rush at the AMC Forum 30 located at 44681 Mound Road, Sterling Heights, MI..) The Premier Partyy was hosted at Uno's Chicago Water Grill (next door to AMC Forum 30) with a chance to meet the cast and crew after the movie concluded.

After The Blood Rush will be released to DVD in Winter 2009.

There are vampires in Hamtramck.

When the shadow of vampirism looms over the city of Hamtramck, Michigan, an old-world ethnic enclave completely enclosed within the city borders of Detroit, it's up to two government-sanctioned slayers to cleanse the neighborhood without the public ever knowing. Tracking the slayers are three nasty/sexy vamp kittens out for revenge. And that's just for starters.

The U.S. Government once created a virus to exterminate all vampires. The virus annihilated most of the vampires. As with any virus, a small percentage survived relatively unaffected or chronically afflicted with pain. Several more survived barely to live out their days as blood junkies (depowered vampires that have become a glorified rat problem). The general public hasn't reported a sighting of a supernatural for four years.

Four years, whether you live for seventy years or seven hundred years, is a very long time to lay low. Tired of waiting, a trio of vampyre vixens kidnaps the daughter of a city commissioner and turn her into a blood junkie since they were tired of hiding in pain from the virus.

Meanwhile, recent attacks by blood junkies made going out at night in Hamtramck a bit dangerous. Naturally, in the backrooms of nondescript buildings, those in power make secret deals with vampire slayers to secretly handle the vampire problem. Feeling the heat, our trio of relatively unaffected vampire girls attempt to work together to also handle the "vampire problem" and save their hides.

After the Blood Rush started filming in Hamtramick back in April 2007 as a high-class vampire movie with so many original ideas and a very artistic & talented cast and crew. Filming and editing finally finished in Summer 2008 with a premiere set for late September. It will suck the blood right out of you. Aaron Trudgeon -- Senior Exectutive producer: -Aaron and Janet Hyson, started nofunfilms in 2003, Aaron started out writing short comics in 1993 where he honed in on his writing, organizing and producing skills. Later,he starting his own comic book company, Ancient Wisdom Comics. Since 2003 we have created our own short movies, Hamtragick, 2005.made The Impatient Exorcist in 2006, 15 minutes, also Hamtragick was 50 min. Fall from Grace 4 min, 2006.

Peter Trudgeon -- Senior Producer / Director / Screenwriter: Pete ,along with his brother Aaron, began making super 8 films in the eighties. He branched into publishing by launching Rubber Suit Comix in 1992. Since then he has penciled and inked a number of comics including a seven part mini series "Bathing In The Blue Light" a dystopian tale of demonic facism, as well as his long running autobio comic "A Charmed Life". In 2004 he produced "Lighting Behind The Eyes" a biography of an underground actress, Lung Leg which includes interviews with such filmakers as Richard Kern and Nick Zedd. Pete recently returned to filmmaking with bit parts in No Fun Films productions of "Hamtragic" and "The Impatient Exorcist" last year he completed his script "After the Blood Rush" which he now directs.

Matt Feazell -- Actor / Artistic Consultant: Matt Feazell a freelance cartoonist and graphic artist living and working in Hamtramck, Michigan. He's worked for newspapers and ad agencies turning out catalogs, magazines and weekly newspapers. His comics and spot illustrations appear regularly in Disney Adventures Magazine.

Gary Freeman -- Actor / Writer: Born in Detroit along with his contemporary, the classic ‘57 Chevy, Gary brings experience and perspective to projects he’s associated with. His role as Guest Host on the cooking show parody, Katy’s Kitchen, has helped him hone his acting skills and stage presence. Experience behind the camera and in the editing suite on numerous video projects allows him to take advantage of the whole gestalt of each scene’s dialog/action/background to set up effective and artistic shots. Gary has also written extensively for newspapers, magazines and the auto industry. He is the author of a novel-length funeral home parody, Gruesome Gary’s Home for the Dead. When collaborating with others, his prime directive is: the project comes first.
