About me:

promoting awareness on rape and sexual abuse

After Silence is a non-profit organization, online support group, and chat room created to help survivors communicate in the recovery of rape and sexual abuse. Our mission is to support, empower, validate and educate survivors of rape and sexual abuse, as well as secondary survivors. The core of our organization is a message board and a chat room where survivors meet together in a mutually supportive and safe environment.

We just opened our new After Silence Awareness Store on cafepress.com. All proceeds from this store are solely used in a non-profit manner and all the artworks are designed by survivors and members of After Silence to spread awareness on rape and sexual abuse.

Ask yourself: if I repeat today’s actions 365 times, will I be where I want to be in a year?" Think about what you’ve done today. If you repeated those actions everyday for a year would it put you where you wanted to be? This can be applied to virtually every action you take through the day. Think about it. Imagine if you didn’t take a shower today. What would happen if you did that for a whole year? Imagine you want to be a multi-millionaire. Is being a couch potato going to move you toward that if that’s what you did today? Did you do anything today that you believe you should repeat 365 times? If the answer is no, then what are you making progress to? A no response definitely signals a problem—namely, you are not making progress toward YOUR goals. Don’t let any day pass without doing something that’s worth repeating 365 times.

I'm really happy you have decided to become friends of the Wake Up (to child abuse) MySpace Music page. Just by adding us to your friends you have already demonstrated that you have a good heart and are willing to take a step towards ending the hidden suffering of so many. We also dare to hope you will be able to persuade some of your other MySpace friends to join our just fight against child abuse by adding us to their friends too. The larger our family of friends becomes, the more people we will be able to reach and educate about this terrible ‘disease’ sweeping across the world which blights the lives of more children than you may imagine.
