After8 is a 7-piece band packing a powerful 3-piece
horn section (trumpet, saxophone, and trombone) and a
groove thats sure to keep you moving all night long. Their
musical influences reflect their true New Orleans heritage
combining Rock, Funk, Hip-hop, & R&B. After 8 covers a
wide variety of music, from the 1950s to todays hot hits,
while adding a touch of New Orleans-style funk to a highenergy
show.
After 8 was originally formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in
2003. The band started out playing a mixture of covers
combined with original music at some of the most popular
clubs throughout Louisiana. Following Hurricane Katrinas
devastation of New Orleans, the band was dispersed
throughout the country, leaving the need to regroup with a
fresh set of talent. In December of 2005, as New Orleans
was pulling itself back together, After 8 was reborn. With
the pool of musicians even more concentrated than ever,
some of the top names in Southeast Louisiana came
together to bring After 8 to new heights. Now, the band is
once again comprised of an all-star team of talent that has
been performing with some of the most credible groups
throughout the Gulf South. The guys have come together to
form a unique sound that is sure to leave audiences with a
lasting impression. Enjoy the show!
