    Andrew Dubber's Interests
GeneralMusic, predominantly. And coffee. I quite like coffee. I guess new media, radio and popular culture feature quite prominently in the mix too.
MusicPretty much everything. I'm particularly into jazz and that makes up the majority of the music I buy (vinyl, mostly) but there's very little music that I don't like at least one instance of.

About me:

Hi. Let me introduce myself. I'm a researcher, lecturer and consultant in online music, radio, new technology and media.

Originally, I'm from New Zealand -- but these days I live in the UK, where I run a new Music Industry Degree at Birmingham City University. Currently, I teach Music Industries Skills, Music Online a theory module about the Music Business and (just for a bit of variety) Radio Documentaries.

I maintain a daily blog with hints and tips for music business. It's particularly aimed at independent artists and labels trying to make their way in the online environment, but also of use to music managers, promoters, publishers, distributors and anyone else working in the music industry.

It's called New Music Strategies (http://newmusicstrategies.com).

If you're interested in me personally, I have a personal site as well (http://andrewdubber.com).

Thanks for stopping by. Nice to meet you.

Who I'd like to meet:

Actually, that would be you. Hi.

Hey Dubber,

Actually I was reading NMS as you were posting them!

As you say, it's mostly common sense and I probably agree with about 98% of it. For someone like me working for an online business, it's always good to have someone in-the-know back up your online marketing strategies. Even though it's obviously slanted towards music, it's highly relevant for any online business. So, mazel tov on a job well done!

Take care,
Barri

Coooweee Andrew Dubber, How is you?

We have just put up yet another demo up on our profile called "7 Steps" free to download this month of May...we'll be recording all the new tunes properly in about a month...well excited

We've also added the other version of "Succession of Obsessions" too, with Chris doin' a bit of singin'..if you liked it before you'll love it now.

Finally, we're in need of some support for our next few shows as seem to have it all to play for.

We're in the final heat of the Godiva Festival auditions at the Golden Cross in Coventry on Sunday 6th May. It's FREE ENTRY and you need to be there at 1pm to gain a voting form..all the bands playing are really good so will be a great afternoon out.

We're also in the Surface Unsigned Semi Final at the Medicine Bar, Custard Factory, Birmingham on Wednesday May 9th AND will be playing Coventry Students Union on Friday May 4th, BAR 54.

So yeah, heaps on...heaps...mountains...

Cheers heaps and lots and loads and lumps, Circle 3 x

Ayo all my old and new friends,

all my tunes on my page are free downloads

Grab dem they be free and holla atcha boy!

Reminisce- An ode to a intimate relationship that I had with an ex.. Beat done by RJD2. This track is deep..just my emotions on that one.

Ghetto Story-The Chad Wildman Remix...Oh! This remix goes hard in the yard son! I like Chad's version better because there is not an Alicia keys verse (making the track all soft..lol) and the break down in the middle.."Raghhhar! Raghhhar!" that shit gets the club poppin for sure. If you dub/dnb dj to you need to grab it!

Intanational Style-This is a Dope Ammo/Benny Page remix track that I ripped on the DNB tip. No ragga-vocals just an H-Town MC spittin...

Enjoy!
