He started his training as a piano player but soon understood that drums were his passion for life. He attended the School of Jazz and Modern Music in Seixal being coached by names like Paulo Bandeira and João Luís Lobo. Working as a freelancer for 15 years, participated in projects like Flamenco, Blues, Punk, Soul, Progressive, Rock or Pop. Mentor of Grooveland (soul, funk, rock n’ roll), and co-founder of The Crazy Diamonds (Pink Floyd tribute), Felattio (rock, pop), Sign (experimental, theatrical) and more recently, Guilande and The Cinnamon Group, where he is also artistic director. Also joined and played with artists like Charlie & the Bluescats, Fast Eddie, Sandra Fidalgo, Nicotine Orquestra, Teresa Gabriel, Yahya Abdul-Majid (Sun-Ra Arkestra), Paulo Brissos, Desso Blues Band, Marco Alonso Group, Da Bélio-c, Carlos Curto, Orlanda Guilande, Ivo Conceição, Tiago Machado, Monogono, among others.
