Address Unknown is a gothic rock band from Birmingham, Alabama, consisting of Edward Sin on vocals and guitar, and Pagan Stahrvos on bass. At times their sound is reminiscent of the post-punk roots of goth, other times it walks hand-in-hand with eighties gothic rock. Sometimes their music is laden with epic orchestral numbers, and they’ve even been known to indulge in psychedelic/stoner rock. One never knows what to expect with this band.
History:
Edward Sin formed Address Unknown on June 6, 2006 during a Bauhaus performance in Birmingham, Alabama. Both members were present at the show, but it would be years before their paths crossed again. In the meantime, Sin composed and recorded dozens of songs, some of which appeared on an independent split release with durch befleckte beruhrung. When Sin and Pagan finally met in January of 2008, the two instantly fell in love, feeling as if they’d “known each other for countless lifetimes”. They were recently handfasted (a Pagan form of marriage). Address Unknown’s demo, “Crucified” was released on June 6, 2008.
Influences:
From the beginning Sin has been obsessed with Christian Death and Rozz Williams. Several songs were written about Rozz Williams’ teachings and art. Bauhaus, The Cure, Fields of the Nephilim and The Sisters of Mercy have also been major influences, but psychedelic and stoner rock has also had a lasting impact on the band’s sound. The influence of Goatsnake, Slo Burn, Sleep and similar bands can be heard best on tracks like “Clovesmoker”, “Lightshow”, and “Rock Slope” (a homage to a fictional Rateyourmusic artist).

Today is the day! My second release, a split with Canadian rockers Hemogoblin entitled "The Eye Of Silence/Stumbling On Heards" has been released.
As with my last release, it is available for free download. It's by far my best released work, so please give it at least one listen. To download it, click here!
Enjoy!
Also, I've got a new blog that is an interesting read (it's kind of based off of VH1's Storytellers). So, listen to the album and read the blog please.
From, Elliot
P.S. Band members? Awesome! Glad to know that when you become famous I can say that I did a split with you.
Greetings Ed and thank you very much for joing my two groups T,..,T (hey, I'm using the Vamp smile again) feel free to post a thread on either topics I'm interesting in reading your words in Expressionism and the Virgin Prunes
I don't know why, but it seems very anti-glam rock, for whatever reason. I don't even know what that means, but I was thinking that when I was listening.
Anyways, I've got two new songs up from my upcoming cover album and think you might be interested. I know you had talked about doing some sort of collaboration, so is there a song you'd like me to cover musically that you provide vocals or a solo to?
I'm not sure how it'd work, but I assume you know something about stuff like that.
