A Day Away came into existence in the early part of 2005 and hit the ground running. Within a few months of their first show, the band had already recorded and released a self-titled EP and garnered a reputation as one the most exciting live bands in the region.
By the following year, the band had recorded their debut, full length album "Touch Me, Tease Me, Take Me For Granted" and unleashed it on a pop hungry Midwest scene. The album quickly became a fan favorite and caught the eye of Japanese record label "Big Mouth JPN," who was eager to release A Day Away's ,music overseas.
Within a year, TMTMTMFG had sold more than 6,000 copies locally, online, and overseas. The band, anxious to take their music to the next level, hit the studio to record a follow up: 2008's aptly titled "Here We Go Again." With a growing fan base, extreme dedication, and an electric live show it looks like A Day Away is definitely moving towards bigger and better things!

hey guys Francisco again stopping by to say hi. i showed you to my best friend and she loved your music she begged me to get her a cd so i did =/ anyways my point is that your fan base in phx,az is getting bigger and it would mean the world to us if you did a show here =)
guys, i dont want to sound like "that guy", but im telling u, if u guys were to go on the road for one year, maybe play a few shows with the cab or all time low, i can pretty much tell u that u guys would explode on the music scene. U guys r good enough! ur just not out there for everyone to hear!!!! (and trust me, the world would be a better place if ppl listened to more a day away)
