   About AcoustiCafe
AcoustiCafe is a non-profit "angel" promotional organization, comprised primarily of regional singer-songwriters. Our goal is to facillitate communications between regional musicians, venues, organizations that sponsor musical events, the media, music industry, and local music fans. We hope to eliminate the duplication of efforts for local musicians and to promote them as a whole, regionally and beyond.

We're in the (re)startup phase right now, and are looking for Pittsburgh area sing-songwriters to join us in our efforts. If you're interested, please take a look at our website at www.AcoustiCafe.org, then send us a comment if you like what we're trying to do...or a message if you'd like to help us.

More info coming soon... Thank You!

Casting call for an independent short film In Pittsburgh…The 48 Hour Film Project comes to Pittsburgh on the weekend of June 6th – 8th Filmmakers from all over the Pittsburgh area will compete to see who can make the best short film 7min.-write, shoot, edit & score it-in just 48 Hours. We won't know the genre until the day the event begins. At least 28 crews participated last year. Screenings for all films will be shown & judged at the Andrew Carnegie Library & Music Hall June 17th & June 18th. The winning film will go up against films from around the world for the title Best 48 Hour Film of 2008.This is an exciting opportunity available for energetic, individuals interested in playing a pivotal role in the production of a short film. This is a non-paying gig. All cast and crew members will be provided food. They will also receive screen credits & a DVD copy of the film for their demo reels. Our 48-hour film project crew TBC is accepting submissions for all age ranges. Must be 18+ for the shoot. We are looking for experienced actors & actresses as well as extras. Private Auditions will be held Saturday May 31st. Please come to the audition with a headshot (please be current) and resume. If you can’t make it please contact me to set up an audition time for next week. Chosen Participants will be expected to be available for the entire 48 hours.
