Broken Self is an up-and-coming band from Tampa, FL consisting of five of the best musicians known to mankind. Bonnie Newman captivates every audience with her unique voice, catchy melodies, and sharp lyrics. James Ferrell pounds on the drumset with enthusiasm and unyielding energy. Scott Galarza brings breathtaking speed and face-melting guitar leads to the band, while Will Moore plays rhythm guitar with metal-inspired, bone-crushing intensity. Gabe Valdivia rounds out the rhythm section with his amazingly funktastical basslines.
Broken Self's musical formula is simple: Create powerful, catchy songs with a lot of energy and moving lyrics. Drawing influences from bands such as Saosin, Paramore, Avenged Sevenfold, AFI, and Incubus, the band seeks to combine the best qualities of the wide variety of music they love.
