Acher was born Larkin Matoon in 1980, the son of a traveling musician and a law firm
paralegal.His first introduction to the world of music was as a roadie for his father at the age of
ten. He earned one dollar a week. He spent many weekends driving around with his dad while
he played millionaires birthday parties, miner town hotels and dark smokey saloons. His father's
passion for music and his mother's for literature are what has ultimately crafted his mcing style today.
His studies of the Persian and Arabic cultures led him to many cities in the U.S. and across
the Atlantic to various countries such as Spain, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Pakistan and more. His travels
have broadened his views of the world, a trait evident in his lyrics.
After serving four years in the Navy, Acher reconnected with his old acquaintance PrinceJaeO, and they recorded their first album together entitled Correspondence. Afterwards,
Acher recorded his first solo album, American Ugly, which he wrote and produced entirely on his own.
Acher has just finished his second solo album,

Currently involved in the finishing process of Numerica (release date has been suspended)
