Since 1980, Academy of Friends has hosted the largest Academy Awards Party in the world outside of Hollywood –- all for a great cause. With your help, our Friends have raised over $6M for HIV/AIDS support and prevention agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our Friends want to meet you: Throughout the year, Academy of Friends hosts many amazing events in the San Francisco Bay Area for its base of over 25,000 member-friends -- all to empower individuals affected by HIV and AIDS. Our Friends have been described as professional, smart, and witty –- and we’ve also been an enabler of many relationships and some job offers. Here's how you can meet our Friends:
Academy Awards Gala Event: Every year, Academy of Friends hosts the largest Academy Awards party night gala outside of Hollywood. Last year’s sold out event drew over 2,000 people. Click here to view pictures from our 2006 gala event and to learn about next year’s event.
Social Events: Every month, our supporter and underwriting events are hosted at the hippest restaurants, bars and venues throughout San Francisco. If you're interested in becoming a supporter and attending a future event, send an email to academyoffriends@gmail.com
