About Milko
Foucault - Larche
The first Australian Entertainer to present a show on the music of Legendary
French singer Charles Aznavour.
Milko was
born in Mauritius and made his stage debut with a French Theatre Company
touring Mauritius (1978). During that season, Milko participated in
the world premiere of the only Mauritian Operetta "SURCOUF",
Named after the French pirate Robert Surcouf.
Within
the following years, Milko was a regular performer at Cabaret venues,
hotels and resorts and on Mauritian Television. He also produced a number
of shows for stage and television and worked for a year and a half as
a free lance radio producer.
Since working
in Sydney's club circuit, Milko has collected two nominations at the
Australian Mo Awards and released his first album titled TO DREAM in
1998.
In 2006,
Milko released the first Aznavour album by an Australian artist and
made his International debut in the States in a Cabaret version of Aznavour...From
Today.
In the
last couple of years, Milko has emerged as one of the leading ambassadors
of French popular music in Australia.
