Lil Jon called him to add some swagger to his smash single ³Snap Yo Fingers.² R&B quartet Cherish enlisted him to add some zest to their lead offering, ³Do It To It.² Crooner Sammy recruited him to add some muscle to his comeback track, ³You Should Be My Girl.² That¹s right, whether rap or R&B, a hard beat or one that is perfectly suited for daytime radio, Sean P is the man who usually gets the call to take songs to the next level with his expertly crafted raps.
Now, the Atlanta artist is prepping for the release of his highly anticipated debut solo album. The work-in-progress collection will feature Sean P¹s trademark interests: having fun and flossing a little bit as he does his thing. ³With this whole album, I¹m representing my swag,² says Sean P, who rose to prominence as one-half of the YoungBloodZ, whose hits ³Damn!,² ³Presidential² and ³85² established them as the hottest rap duo from Atlanta this side of OutKast. ³I¹ve got the same swag that I¹ve had with the YoungBloodZ, but now I¹m an individual. J Bo was more of the hardcore side and I was more of the player that had a little swag with it.
Now I¹m able to put my swag all the way out there and the folks that dig my swag will be able to get everything.
The lead single from the album, ³Everywhere We Go², was produced by Miami based hit-makers, Cool & Dre and features Terror Squad star, DJ Khaled.
Another track on the album, already enjoying burn on radio, is Sean P¹s boast-heavy, club-ready ³U Ain¹t Know,² which was produced by and features T-Pain and nods to the Audio 2 classic ³Top Billin¹.² ³It just had that old school feel,² Sean P says. ³That¹s what popped in my head with that song.
I flipped it around a little bit.
Elsewhere, Sean P sums up his aura on the bass-heavy ³Swag,² establishes his solo status on ³Watch Me Do My Thang² and flexes his storytelling abilities on the sly ³U See It,² a detailed breakdown of some of the women he¹s met while traveling the globe. Jazze Pha and Scott Storch are among the high-powered producers working on Sean P¹s album, but he¹s also making a point to allow promising beat smiths such as Raw Beats an opportunity to shine throughout the high-energy collection.
That open-mindedness extends to his music-making outlook. ³I like to have a good time,² he says. ³I¹m a cool, laid-back cat. That¹s why when you hear me, I¹m not talking about a whole lot of shooting --em up and all that. I try to just bring the fun back to the music. I like music that makes you feel good and want to do your little dance.
Since he met YoungBloodZ partner-in-rhyme J Bo in middle school, Sean P¹s priority has always been making feel-good music. He prefers not to dwell on his past -- which includes a string of evictions as a child and a cursory relationship with his father. It¹s a testament to Sean P¹s positive outlook on life and just how much he appreciates all he has accomplished -- including a gold album for the YoungBloodz¹s 2003 release, Drankin¹ Patnaz
-- that his music promotes enjoying yourself.
I dont make no sad songs that folk are going to cry over,² he says. ³I ain¹t with all that. I can do that at the house. When I go to the studio, I want the music to be loud, bumping and jumping all over the place.² No wonder he¹s in high demand.

As Each Day Passes and we go through our daily routine of school, working, attempting to find a job, living at home with momma (knowing you to old to still be staying there, LOL), trying to be productive or successful, chasing our goals, dreams, and aspirations, trying to stay out of trouble, trying to get into trouble (cant figure that one out, LOL), etc., one must ask him or herself an honest question, What truly motivates me?
If you did a survey of just 10 people and asked them what is their motivation in life, 8 out 10 of those people what say something connected to some type of material object or status (i.e. money, cars, a house, a job, a contract, a record deal (all I need is that deal!!!! LOL) , a promotion, a position of power, some type of career, fame, attention, some type of sexual satisfaction, being the best at something (best looking, being the "best rapper alive", I'm sure you heard them all), being the center of attention or having the "spotlight", being the Realist something (saying there real but continue to put off a false image based on some type of fictional fantasy in there mind), happiness without God's clarity, yall see where I'm going with this one.
Out of the 2 that was left, one would say a family member (i.e. kid or kids, my momma, my father (very rare do to the inconsistency of dad's that actually are responsible fathers), my 5th grade P.E. Teacher (LOL, it was a lil funny), and the most famous one of all "MY HATERS ARE MY MOTIVATORS!" What a shame.
We go each day chasing after something or being motivated by something that is just TEMPORARY, something that can be here today and gone tomorrow. Something that has very little value or substance when you actually think about it. We live in a culture today where image is everything but God (talking about Jesus and not mother nature, whoever she is) has no substance or value in peoples lives
