Music
Music is my mind.... I hear music in my head all day long...
I've been to more concerts than I can remember, but many stick out...and the venues...Red Rocks(Elton) in Colorado is amazing place to see a show. Madison Square Gardens (Elton, Barry Manalow)...Dodger Stadium (Stones),Rose Bowl(Metallica,Stones,Red Hot Chili Peppers,Guns n Roses)..Pladium (Grace Jones,Oingo Boingo, The Kinks, Billy Idol, Sugar Ray,etc.), The Hollywood Bowl(Rod Stewart, Elton, Tina Turner,LA Phil,Van Morison, etc.) the LA Forum(Elton,The Who, Metallica, Motley Crue, Van Halen, Diana Ross, the Police, U2, etc.), Universal Ampitheater (Elton, Jackson Brown, Foo Fighters, The Offspring, Heart, Dio, Frank Sinatra with Sammy Davis Jr.& Liza Minnelli and Buddy Rich Orchestra, etc.)..then there are the small clubs where you get to see the new bands...many like the Wiskey A Go Go (Runnaways, Joan Jet,The Go Go's, Missing Persons, The Motels, Wall of Voodoo, Oingo Boingo, The Police, Van Halen, etc...)
I am amazed to see the progression from early R&B to disco, and house, trance, techno, hip-hop, progressive, tribal...I love to dance! I was dancing as a child in a ballet troup and then a Luau troup, tap dancing and on...Raves changed the dance sceene from the disco era into the techno age...and I was there. In NYC at the Saint and Studio 54(I still have a gold card), Studio One in LA and the Oddessey... The first White Party (300 people) and I am alive to tell you that I had a blast!

I love the texture of film...when the smoke wafts into the air and mood is captured with light and sound...cinema is life...fantasy...love...heartbreak...action....adventure. It inspires, entertains and sometimes provokes the spirit of man...

About me: I really hate this part... I try to simplify as much as I can, complex things. I live in Downtown LA by USC currently and have a wonderful dog named Nick. I'm back in school finishing up my business degree in management.
We sometimes get side-tracked in life and we need to pick up the pieces and start fresh. I am a native of Cali, kinda of, ...Born in Madrid, Spain on a USAF base and moved to LA when I was 6 months old. My Dad is from LA, and so was my grandma, they were born in the same house. They had a hard time when I was a teen, accepting that I was gay and threw me out into the streets of Hollywood... but that shaped the person I am today. I went accross America working for a rock band on tour(John Cougar), became a bookkeeper at a rock club(Starwood)and lived a very Hollywood life for about 5 years until at 23, I had to stop doing drugs and clean up my life...off to college after a few years of cleanup I was amazed to find that I could compete in athletics after so many years of abuse, it changed my life. Two years on a Varsity Water Polo team and three years of college behind me, I went to my parents to ask if they would help me in a four-year school...and they said no. So, back to work... this time in TV, Film and Print work...every day was a new set, new page, new experience... I worked on a TV show for two seasons, worked for a film director as his assistant for a year on two films, did sets, I even played Jesus for a TV show ...I did what ever it took to pay the bills and try to get ahead. It is never easy in this town with out the support of a partner or family. Work slowed for me after a few years and a new carreer came to me from a friend asking me to train him and his partner at their home.... I thought about it for a couple of months while I studied for my first certification. I felt ethically I shouldn't be training anyone with out the knowledge to do the best job, safetly. I became an A.C.E. Certified personal trainer for 12 years and a certified Spinning instructor as well. It is such a rewarding job helping people achieve their goals. More recently I've been working for a real estate firm in Beverly Hills...still helping people and the pay is better. Now with the slowdown in the real estate market this past year it's been difficult so I've gone back to school to finish my degree and my dad is helping now...times change, and so people, you just have to give them a chance. That's a little about me....here is some of what I like to do in my spare time...
I like to cook, snowboard, mountain bike, have a beer hanging with my buds, bar-b-que, go hiking with my dog and be in nature. Cooking is something my grandma taught me as I used to help her prepare, cook and serve 250 seniors at her church in Alhambra every Wednesday night while I was living with her during my highschool days. You can see grandma grace the page of my fudge company... www.WeHoFudge.com ...I named the parent company, I Love Edith, Inc. after her as well.
If I could travel the world and have a job that made snowboarding part of it, I would jump in a heart beat! I love the feeling of solitude and quiet high up in the mountains, looking out over the planet, watching the eagle soar. I started skiing at 15 and did that for 16 years,fun...but!...I've been snowboarding for 16 years now and wouldn't look back ...this shit is the bomb. So much more fun...the background on my profile here is from a trip I took up to Whistler, BC in 2006 for Gay Ski week...I look forward to the winter now more than ever, I just wish I could afford to be there more.
Who I'd like to meet: ...a friendly, open, honest guy. Someone that likes to snowboard would be awesome, but not a requirement.Someone I can workout with at the gym and hang with at the beach. Someone to cook dinner for and someone to cuddle with at night (although my dog Nick is a good surrogate for now). A friend in heart, mind, and soul willing to go the extra step for a friend with all his heart, mind, and soul.
