We are always looking for people to donate their products. This would be great exposure for you and could help you with your sales. If you want to send business cards along with your products our winners or models will be able to give them to people when they ask about your products and where to buy them. Again, if you are interested in doing this please contact me.

About me:
Thank you for stopping by our My Space. My name is Sarah and I am the owner and Editor In Chief of Skylar Magazine. I have been writing since I was 7 years old and developed a passion for fashion, and modeling by age 12 when I discovered Supermodels Niki Taylor, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, and Kate Moss, and also magazines such as Vogue, and Harpers Bazaar. I knew that one day I wanted to be apart of the fashion and modeling industry in someway. Whether it be modeling, designing, or writing about it, I knew that fashion was my destiny.
Growing up I was often tormented by my classmates, because I had a learning disability. I was in special education classes with other kids who were more severe than me. I was always very awkward and shy especially in middle school. Middle school was a very difficult time for me, and at the time I was pretty much embarrassed about being in the classes I was in. I felt that I did not belong in those classes with those students. I was never popular although I always tried very hard to fit in. I tried out for cheerleading several times and never made it, and I pretty much got called every name in the book. I also had a lot of bullies growing up, because I was so small and shy.
Looking back I think being in those classes actually helped me in many ways. I think it made me the open-minded, ambitious, confident person I am now and I made a lot of great friends because of them. Even though they were a lot different from me, they were very cool individuals who didn't care what others thought of them. I think if it weren't for being in those classes I probably wouldn't have ever made this dream happen. So, if I had to do it all over again, I would do it in a heart beat, because it was truly a learning experience.
One of my other aspirations growing up was to own my very own fashion magazine, and then one day back in June of 2004 the idea of Skylar came to me. So, after really thinking it through I decided I was tired of just dreaming about it, I was ready to make it happen. Within a few months I had a staff of writers, and editors, I got some girls to model for me, and I found a few upcoming fashion designers to work with. In April 2005 we had our very first model search and the first issue was born on July 19, 2005 featuring the winner of our very first model search Shaelyn Phatruong. > 2nd Top Finalist of Skylar's 2005 Model Search: Paula
Model: Leah
Skylar's 2008 Model Search
 Model Search 2007 winner: Ellen
We are having our next annual model search and we need sign ups! The winner will get to be on our cover and in a fashion editorial where she will get to model in lots of cute clothes, jewelry and accessories and she also gets to keep it all!
It is $5.00 to compete. The money we raise is going to go toward our supplies, and our future. We have so many things we would like to do and your $5.00 will help us accomplish all of our goals.
Please be sure to check out the model search info blog to find out more. $5.00 is not too bad for what we are offering.
