Holy Haunted Head (A Kali Yuga Opera), A Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band, Do Make Say Think, The Folks I Live/Lived With (not a band), Minus Story, Nina Nastasia, Yann Tiersen, Bjork, Tin Hat Trio, Orion Rigel Dommisse, Death to Tyants, Idatel, Norma Coye & the element of surprise...
I play/played music in a few different bands such as Laser Awesome, L'Hiver, Com Veo, Wait Bench & REbros. During the spring of 2005 I began recording music on my own using the 8 track (now just 7) that I acquired from college (dont talk about it). Over the course of a year, I got my first taste of writing music independently, pretty much just experimenting with structure and sounds. Over time, I discovered I might have enough material to make an album. So it got pieced together & "Things to sleep on 'cuz it feels good in yr. side" is what reared its head. Completed in February 2006 (maybe march?) I handmade 40 copies with windowcut cardstock cases & photo inserts (thanks Bon!) for friends. When they ran out I made forty more. And so on...
Fast-forward a bit. After concluding that only a few of the songs on "things to sleep on..." were fit to be performed live, I set out to write songs that were meant to be played live. Thats where I'm at now, giving test runs every once in a while. I have plans to record these songs and mess em' up a bit, but not so bad...
Note: Do not drive while listening to WDX, the assgasm you experience may cause you to crash, set aflame and go into a fourteen year coma of pure awesome.
