Rebecca Olthafer has performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Madison Opera, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Music by the Lake, Opera for the Young, Rochester Aria Group, and UW-Madison Opera. "....Olthafer's performance literally shimmers through a near translucent vibrato." (Capital Times, April 2004). Signature roles include Dorabella, Serse, Hansel, Orlofsky, Flora, Kate Pinkerton, Mercedes, Second Lady, Julia Child, Marcellina and Tisbe. Recently, she won 5th place and the Florentine Main Stage Performance Award at the 2006 Wisconsin District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Upcoming performances include roles with the Florentine Opera and Sugar Creek Symphony and Song.
