As a child, Randa's family would spend many nights with her Dad playing piano, while she and her sisters sang, danced and eventually began playing various instruments.
While in the sixth grade, she made her first "official" stage appearance. She played wash-tub bass in a talent show. Randa didn't win, but she did get her picture in the newspaper.
Randa Lee began her professional musical career at the age of thirteen, as the lead singer and bassist of her own band. They played for teen dances, class reunions, enlisted men's clubs, local concerts and won several "battle of the bands".
At 16 she started hosting a local radio show on Saturday afternoons in Riverside, Ca where her band and other performers were often featured.
Just out of high school, she began touring the United States with her show band. This in turn led to her appearance on the Tonight Show as well as other TV and radio shows. Then she began an string of Canadian and European concerts. She was also honored to perform in a USO/DOD tour that included a performance to United Nation Troops representing 51 countries.
Her musical tastes run from sweet swinging ballads to bluesy barrel house. Randa's dynamic voice and charismatic stage presence always make you feel like a special friend as she takes you on a personal journey of her musical soul.
Randa has won numerous local, national and international awards as a vocalist, professional bassist and entertainer.
She continues to perform with her band, The Randa Lee & the EXPRESS Band, as well as hosting and producing various radio shows and video programs, assisting a local PBS TV station with on-air pledge drives as well as voice-overs for both radio and TV commercials.
