The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, The BiBle, White Oleander *( Thanks Katie )*, ANY VC Andrews, ...i could go on, and on , i dont read like i should anymore, i should though and i miss it , i used to have my nose in a book morning, noon, and , night.... I do get READ to alot though........Even if you cant find the time to sit down and read a good book, PLEASE atleast let your children read one to you every day !!! Sure read to them to , but allow them to discover the joys of reading a good book themselves...
What Started as a Desire to make my own Patchy Pants has grown and evolved into something bigger than i could have ever dreamed !!! Learning to sew on Gramma's old skool straight stitch machine, i have upgraded to commercial and industrial grade equipment, now making clothing for all the Kynd Peeople in the world not just myself :) ! In the short four years that i have been sewing i have Learned so much.
and not Just about sewing. I have found a new love for Hemp Blended Fabrics. They are amazing, Sustainable, and Earth Friendly :) ! Ang over at Altered Statement has helped me explore that new love of textiles, and though most of my hand dyed fabrics come from there, she has taught me all i knwo about dyeing myself, and i do sometimes on my down days
My Mother was, is , coulda been a Professional Seamstress had she aspired to. She claims i picked up my skill so quickly, and learn new things just as fast cause its in my blood. I come from a long line of beautiful women that have been sewing for generations. We still have the very , very old quilting frames in my attic from over 50 years ago, and a couple of the quilts that were made on it too :)
My Father *HiPPie RoN * is what hes called here back home , instilled into me my love of music, all kynds. Its not how it sounds, or what Genre its considered but he taught me what matters is how it fills your heart, and soul, and what it sends with you when its over . Music is SO often the inspiration for my creations . Thank you for the Music !!!
My sewing inspiried my gramma to get back into as watching me filled her agian witht he passion she once had for it .... and she would often hem a skirt to be shipped or sew patchwork together for me to use in a skirt or pants. Many tears, and hours of frustration she helped me go through learning all i know . Gramma is now a part of the Penni Patch Family :). Most of the pixy wrap patchwork has been sewn with love by Gramma, and she is usually the maker of our Sweet Hemp Petticoats.
My mom joined the team Summer of 06 when she lost her job. She has worked many types of jobs, including industrial sewing factories making children's clothing. * when that place shut down she inherited one of thier serge machines, and that machine is now in my studio and very well loved and used * Through all her jobs , her love of sewing she developed as a child has always brought her back to it . Making all of mine, and my Sister's clothing while we were growing up when she isn't making kynd threads for Penni Patches, she is now making her GrandChildren Clothing .
We have since then added even more artists, and you can find thier story, on our website. Each one with a Special Gift they are willing to share with all of you , and each one as unique as the items they make . Jennifer from *Rocktown Boutique* , is the maker of most of our children's items. Kelly JO * and Brooke * are just venturing back to thier roots, and getting back into thier itch to stitch , Katie from *Pieces of Katie * makes our Hemp Soap, among many many other beautiful unique things .......
From time to time we will host a guest artist, right now that guest being Jodi from * Little Biddle Love *
Special Kudos Go out to one of my Favorite Mama's, and super dear friend. Kristi From Dirty Hippie Designs. She is my partner in crime, and you will find us together taking on the world at the shows listed in our calender. She has taught me alot about life, love and friendship, and she makes sweet clothing too so chek her out, and be sure to check out her mama's medicinal's while your there !!!

Listen.... as much as i'd love to chat daily, on a more personal Level with each and every one of you. It is just not realistic. i have a ton of sister sites, and other crafters as friends that are soley for the purpose of networking. It's awesome to all help each other out and spread the love that we all put into our work. So it get's tricky , and very time consuming to keep track of all my "friends". I thank you for your request of friendship, and supporting our work, and i would love to get to knwo you better, and i invite you to join me on my personal page which is located in my top friends.
