Ova! play music of the wet deep night. Hailing from Minneapolis, MN, they
appeared outta nowhere early '03 with violent fast/locked-down compositions
that both strafe real kickass/beer metal and the avant/shitnuts rock. A
two-piece drums/electronics and guitar all instrumental who list their main
influence as Sawyer Brown? Yep. Contemporaries include Orthrelm, Lightning Bolt, Sightings, Flying Luttenbachers, Hella and the like but this is only a guide of play style, they sound nothing like any of the above, more a paramount stress on aggressive 'composition,' not merely picking out a few chords and flailing your hand fast is where the comparison lies. Each songs depth is immense audio mystification, hammer and nailed down under the 2 minute mark with surgical precision. Ova! toured the West Coast in Fall '03 with fellow MPLS freak Happy Mother's Day, I Can't Read playing shows with Friends Forever, Shoplifting, Coachwhips, XBXRX, Burmese and many more. In MPLS they've played support for such bands as Flying Luttenbachers, Lightning Bolt, Numbers, SSION, Point Line Plane, etc. Their favorite food: a
crockpot full of sloppy joes. Ova! continues to evolve incorporating arcane
electronics into the fold as well as damaged time structures and sounds,
creating a liquid energy used to power ham plants in Milwaukee, WI. They
are touring in support of their debut CD (split with HMD, ICR) on Freedom
From in early '04.

Hey Ova!. How are you? We put up some new songs for your listening. If you got some time, stop over. And if you like what you hear, buy a copy of our album. We know that myspace isn't a place where most of us buy albums, but what if you give this one a shot? It'll pull you down some strange roads. Support our little band and see where we take you. During the next few weeks, the CD's on sale for pretty cheap, so it's only a small risk. We hope you're doing well out there and Thanks for listening.
