It began last summer at BATTLE In the Mix, where participating DJ's competed by remixing tracks from Miz Mandy's first album before a panel of celebrity judges. The latest release by Miz Mandy, In the Mix, combines pop, dance, Latin, and rock in just the right combination to make you want to get up and shake it. She has a beautiful, soulful, crystal-clear voice that lends itself well to her music. The twelve-song album contains two mixes of her title track, "In the Mix," as well as two other songs, "Yours" and "Shake Shake Shake" featuring guest vocals by Asis Guilford. "In the Mix" and "Shake Shake Shake" are impressively remixed by DJ Scotty K (Christina Aguilera), and the reprise of "Yours" is a gorgeous rendition with acoustic guitar and achingly, longing vocals. "No Borders" is an infectious, Madonna-influenced pop/dance track, and the heartfelt "Confessions" features rapper, Mally. Miz Mandy even rocks it out on the rock/pop-laced, "Drive." Definitely worth a listen!

Released in January, Miz Mandy describes her second album as “pop-based urban dance.” Internationally recognized, one song on the album, “Shake, Shake, Shake” held the 2 spot for 2 weeks on the Brazilian dance charts and has been played regularly on popular Brazilian radio stations including Band FM, Goven Pan, and Atlantida. In addition, the popular track, “I’m Only Sleeping,” has been receiving airplay on XM satellite radio since early 2006.
Miz Mandy has also been a successful live performer. She has showcased in over 16 countries from NATO shows near Brussels, Belgium to Fourth of July celebrations for the US Ambassador in Maputo, Mozambique. “Playing for 65,000 people in China was the best,” she said.
Recently, she performed at some of southern California’s best venues including the Belly-Up, 4th and B, and Café Sevilla.
