Lamplight Media LLC is currently working with N'Lightning Software Development Inc. to develop a Christian video game. This video game is set in a new fantasy world sprinkled with new races and rich with Biblical symbolism. Lamplight Media LLC has put together several short stories to introduce you to the characters and races of this new world. We would like to know from you what you think. Please comment and if you want us to write more, we will.
First, I would like to say thank you to all of those who have been making posts to the comments side of our page. Your support is more appreciated than you know. This is so important. Christian Video Games is where Christian music was 15 years ago. There is a high demand for video games that dont have the kind of satanic sex and violence that is starting to be very popular in games like Grand Theft Auto. These are not games that children should be playing but they are. Thanks for helping us to bring an alternative to the gaming industry.
To those that havent made comments. Please do. The business plan for this game went before Microsoft and Apple on the 15th of March 2007. Since then it has been in front of several multi-million dollar venture capital companies.Frustrated that no one was investing, I asked the invester what the proposal was lacking. One of the major things that he mentioned was the need for concept art. I am not sending the Business Plan out again until we have concept art. Steven Mitchell (designer of our logo) is currently working on concept art for the game.
A positive comment about the short stories, the game idea, or even the idea of having Christian games on the market will help. We will show it to investors as proof that there is an interest and there is a market for Christian Video Games.

Thank you for being a friend. I looked at part of your web-site and it looks like you are comong up with some good ideas. Keep up the good work and God bless you.
I don't have alot of time, but already I'm nerding out thinking of Old Testament wars put into video games, like Elder Scrolls style Christian games, aww man that would be beautiful.
Video games rock, but video games that glorify our Lord rock 100X as hard!
Yo dude, its sweet to hear sum1 tryin to develop a decent christian video game. But if u dont mind id like to leave u a bit of a sugestion, dont leave out those of us who still play and luv there ps2s.Im not very keen on any of the nxt gen systems at all.And to be honest im not a pc gamer either.simply put i luv my ps2.[lol]Game on my friend.Peace to u,be blessed. And remember walk with the King and be a blessing.
Our subculture has it's own TV, radio, print, and Web media. Artists and producers must connect with fans in these areas--especially the Web. The X-BOX generation is online!
I like the idea of a game that reflects "Christian" values that doesn't have to only appeal to Christians. Supernatural, sacrifice and redemption themes are appealing to a wide range of peoples and cultures. So you seem to be shooting for a game that Christians will be comfortable playing without excluding "non-Christians" who enjoy good video games.
As far as evaluating the appeal of the game I suggest you start to reveal the art style of the game - a la your "Art Bible." Also i don't know if you've begun working on the Design Doc but some technical choices you are making (e.g. which game engine) will influence the art, physics and mechanics that people can expect to experience.
Finally, I am interested in what kinds of social, economic and "combat" systems you have in mind for the game. This also would help potential players give you feedback on how appealing the game is and what tweaks they would suggest to improve the game.
Godspeed!

You asked for a comment on your plan to do a Christian Game. I took a day to think about it, and today you'd written again already, so you must really want my opinion.
Well, though I think religions are the cause of most of the problems in the world today, I realize that they make good money for folks, which is okay. (Look at Billy Grahm and the $2,000 suits he always wears.)
When Jesus rose to heaven, well it was sure easier back then, when heaven was only up on the clouds. Now how far is it since we learned like what the stars are and such? (There's an idea for a game!)
I don't know if this is what you had in mind, but let me know if you want any more suggestions.
So, I read "The Rat" and it is the kind of stories many of us need to see. Stories like that aren't common, but they're the kind of stories so many Christians are looking for. It's very good to see someone keeping extreme violence and sex out of their stories. Where has the good gone? You, Lamplight, are keeping the good; keep up the good work.
As for games, we need ones that don't have murdering and theft and nudity. I bet that many people, not just Christians, would rather have games that you would produce.
Thank you for bringing what is greatly needed in todays society.
Hey, thanks for inviting us to add you as a friend to our fantasy and science fiction magazine! We are really working hard to put out great fantasy and science fiction. We appreciate your support!
Also, if any of your friends are interested in science fiction or fantasy stories and poetry, I (Bill, S.) would love for them to add The Sword Review as a friend.
I really like what you are trying to do. I am a HUGE gamer and this would be awesome. It's kinda hard to find clean video games without foul language or other things. For Christians, it is very difficult. I really like the idea, keep going guys. Right on! I really like the story-line on this site, by the way.
Thanks for the add. I hope I'll get a chance to try out your game sometime, and I hope it's a good game worthy of recognition.
I personally find the idea of having a decent Christian-themed or -inspired game in the market a plausible, entertaining idea, it's just that no decent game developers are out there trying to develop a game in that interest because they don't think it can sell. Regrettably, terrible games like Left Behind sell just fine because of their franchise, but here's to hoping you guys can pull off something great, eh?
