Julia Brochey - Composer/Singer/Player of Various Instruments Including Bowed Gypsy Jazz Guitar.
Sometimes I am accompanied by a few UNEXPECTEDS, but I am now primarily working with Christian Sequoia in Ode to tHe Marionette; we are joining forces to bring you the most theatrical, jazzy, orchestral, classical, modern, unusual, gypsy opera you can find.
I'm influenced by travel and a love of all art. My music has been said to "push the boundaries of jazzy/gypsy" and is a "colorful journey through reality and fantasy." Currently, I work solo and with Ode to tHe Marionette (electric, jazz inspired, orchestra theatre). Our tour has been postponed due to major collaboration efforts...inspiration has been screaming.
Last summer, I completed Jezebel's Demise - a solo Coffee Table Drama. Inspired by artists, this play/CD/coffee table book brings awareness to the arts and artisans as the main character, Jezebel, attempts to convince the working class to buy her "trinkets" in an effort to create an artistically aware society.
