Influences
I love so many musicians, it would be tough to name them all.
Emrys Hanley started life in a canvas dome (commonly known as a yurt). His nature-loving, overly educated parents conspired to give him a name no one can pronounce and the sensitive soul of a songwriter. Emrys never knows what to say when people ask what genre his music belongs to, so he usually ends up spouting a hyphenated mouthful like “folk-rock-pop-gospel-reggae.” His debut album—Emrys—will be released in June 2008 after numerous delays brought about by fear of success and lackadaisical waffling. The only reason the album got recorded at all was because Dale Ockerman (Doobie Brothers, Quicksilver Messenger Service) was the producer. Dale exerted inhuman patience and obsessive dedication to make sure the record got done. Other musicians who played or sang on Emrys: Tiran Porter (Doobie Brothers), Richard Bryant, (Doobie Brothers), Vince Black (Peter Tosh, Black Uhuru), Barry Phillips (Ravi Shankar, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr), and many more. Emrys knows how lucky he is to have so many outstanding musicians backing up his songs, and they have his eternal gratitude. As of now, Emrys lives the life of a handsome gypsy, traveling the West playing his evocative music, and being continually amazed by how much it moves his fellow travelers.
Tracks from the "Emrys" album are available for download in the Snocap store (above) for .99 cents per song.

I open my heart wide and let the light pour in. I remove all of the stones of unforgiveness and lift from my heart any burdens of expectation. I care. I love. I generate love from within, so that I glow with love and caring.
I am a shining light of love, and my glow is so great that all who enter into my circle can feel its warmth.
I cherish the love I feel for others, for it warms me as well I cherish each person I love, for they give me even more love to gladden my life and soften my heart.
Every time I love, every time I give love selflessly, my soft and pliable heart grows stronger and more pure.
I send you much good wishes!!! - I hope you are well. Sorry, because I write to you so late, because I have a lot of work and we was in holidays in Austria by skiing. It was wonderful, so many snow, but no sun...and cold...
