Aimee Allen - A Message to THINKING PEOPLE!
David Norris-Elye
(May 15, 1950 - March 8th, 2007)
Shown above playing soprano sax during his first gig in The Stampeders, April 30th '76.
Dave "stopped playing" March 8th, 2007, as a complication of treatment for multiple myeloma, a particularly devastating form of cancer that he had previously beaten back twice. While in remission, the drugs that were employed to keep the cancer at bay had serious side effects.
Essentially, he died of congestive heart failure brought on by pulmonary hypertension, which is thought to have been caused by the cancer treatment drugs he had been prescribed. That having been said, those who knew him best and were by his side at the very moment assure that he went peacefully and quickly, with people he cared for by his side...which was one of the most important things to him over the last few years.
For those who knew him, Dave was a good guy with massive musical abilities spanning the entire range of the industry--there was almost nothing music-related that Dave couldn't do--and what little there was, he knew who could!
He had a "somewhat twisted sense of humour" at times (in a good way, of course!) and will be missed by his friends, family, and most of all by EQ. (Those who knew him will understand. ;)

Crossing Jordan - Jill Hennessy might be too damned cute for my own good...but I'm willing to take one for the team... ;)Heroes - Best serial TV series in quite a while now!Medium - Well written, expertly acted, and based on a Gorgeous psychic. How can you go wrong?! :DGhost Whisperer - Jennifer Love Hewitt's kinda cute, too! Oh yeah...the show's good as well. :DCSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Still the best of all 3!)

Futurama
It'll be back on Comedy Central in 2008!!!
If you've never seen Futurama before, check out these clips on AdultSwim.com today!
One of the best animated series ever produced. High quality computer graphics as well as high quality "standard" cel animation techniques, fused into a picture that was only eclipsed by it's deft writing and perfect voice casting.
Why they kept "The Simpsons" on the air and killed this one is completely beyond me...FAR better show, far better series, far better writing, many more potential plotlines to explore, and an open door for just about anything to happen in the future. This series had it all, and was killed after just 4 seasons, all of which have been released on DVD, and are still selling today.
Isaac Asimov (1920-1992)
Pretty much anything written by Asimov is worth reading, and with "estimates" ranging from 500 to "more than 750" books he'd written or co-authored, there's bound to be something of interest for everyone.Brian Greene
Heroes
They asked for Heroes...Matt Groening - Creator of Futurama, & The Simpsons. An Official web site is currently under construction at: www.mattgroening.comInterview
Do you wear shirts? Do you have a sense of humour? If the answer is YES to either...hit TShirtHell.com and put the best of both together!
TShirtHell.com - They've got a sick sense of humour and aren't afraid to show it! If you do too, you'll love it!
Don't just take my word for it, click the link(s) below and check it out for yourself! I got the N95-3 myself, and the thing's got everything but tits and a pizza...and if you've got the right numbers in it, YOU GET THOSE TOO!!!
ALL of these individual models have a 5 Megapixel camera, a VGA WebCam/VideoConferencing camera on the front, GPS unit, Media player, et cetera...you can even plug these units directly into your TV and view your snaps/movies on the biggest screen you can find!
NOTES: Links for US residents are in RED, links for Canadian residents are BLUE. (Clicking directly on the images directs you to the Canadian site.) Supplies seem to be selling quickly, and as of today, the Bronze model is unavailable, but the Black version is back! I've placed links to BOTH below, so that you'll have the option...although the ONLY real difference, to be honest, is the rear cover color. ;)
The N95-3's main benefit is a 25% higher capacity battery which yields longer life between charges, and a secondary benefit is that it's the latest system software and it's a redesign specifically for the North American market.
Brand New & available NOW is the N95 8Gig!
This phone has a 2.8" display, ALL of the features of the N95-1 and N95-3, but with 8 Gigabytes of internal storage capacity built in! For those of you who don't want to bother with memory cards, this might be just what you're looking for!
The main benefits I see to the N95-1 are the physical Lens Cover/switch--which protects the 5 Megapixel "Main Camera" lens--and the cheaper price, although the battery life is 25-30% less on the N95-1 than the N95-3. Of course, you can always snag a spare battery, or a USB charger (Enter "ZipLinq Nokia" into one of the search boxes below for instant info; I have two of these myself, and they work GREAT!), or even a portable charger which runs on standard batteries! (Energizer makes a good one...and I've got one so I can tell you it works! Do a Google search on "Energi-To-Go" for more info.) On a feature-by-feature basis, they're completely equal otherwise, and either model will make the iPhone look like a preschool child's playtoy.
The main benefits of the N95 8Gig (N95-2) are it's larger 2.8" screen, which makes it easier to see for those who have a hard time reading smaller screens, and the use of the BL-6F battery--the same one as in the N95-3--which yields about 30% longer battery life over the N95-1.
The benefit of ANY of the N95 models above over the iPhone (for those who are still on the fence) are:
5 Megapixel Main Camera over the iPhone's 2 MegaPixel camera.
VGA Front-mounted WebCam on ALL N95 models.
GPS Unit included, with Voice Navigation option on ALL N95 models!
You don't have to learn how to use a keypad!
You're not stuck with AT&T (USA) or Rogers (Canada: ETA January 2008) as your ONLY carrier alternatives!
You can NOT purchase an unlocked iPhone, and you MUST buy a contract or upgrade/extend your existing contract with an iPhone!
The iPhone has ONLY TWO (2) possible memory configurations: 4Gig and 8Gig, while the N95-1 and N95-3 offer user-selectability through MicroSD cards allowing:
.5 Gig(512 Meg)
1Gig (1024 Meg)
2Gig (2048 Meg)
4Gig (4096 Meg)
6Gig (6144 Meg)
8Gig (8192 Meg)
It may even be possible to use cards with capacities up to 32 Gigabytes in an N95...but you can't use ANY card in an iPhone!

Snopes has been around a while, and it's a site devoted to telling you the TRUTH about what is floating around out there in email these days...and what's been disproven, misquoted, etc. EVERYONE should save Snopes.com to their favorites, and refer to it whenever they get their latest email about "Nigerian Millions" or "Bill Gates will send you $10,000.00 if you forward this to xx people within the next 15 minutes!"
If simple common sense doesn't tell you that it's a bullshit email that people will NOT want to have sent to them, PLEASE hit Snopes first!

REAL Computer Deals!!!
Everyone is always asking me where I got this or that, or how much something costs, or how I managed to get 4 times what they just did at 1/2 the price...well, here's a couple of the electronics resellers that I like to refer people to...and use myself.
Tiger Direct operates in both Canada and the US, so it's an excellent choice for both sides of the border. Since they use UPS WorldShip, Canadian customers get what they ordered, but without the "brokerage fees", "duties", "taxes" and "customs handling" charges, which can put a serious crimp in the budget.
Pretty good deal for the government, who has done SWEET (*@# ALL to help you get those products...hmmm...alas, I digress...Here's the links:
Another excellent company for both Canadian & US folks is NCIX.com.
Since they're in B.C., anyone in any other part of Canada saves xx% of their provincial taxes that they would normally pay...and for most
orders, this can easily offset the shipping costs. For larger orders--like when you're getting ready to do a healthy upgrade or a complete system build from
the ground up--this can save you a ton!
Here's the links, for both the Canadian and the US sites, just click the one for your country and off you go!

Are you perpetually annoyed by the amount of sheer stupidity which rears it's moronic head each day?! Perhaps this'll give you a chuckle:
And just where the (*@# is Leamington, Ontario?! I'd tell you it's about 35 miles East-Southeast of Detroit, MI, but it's easier to
draw you a map. Unfortunately, I'm not that industrious, so here's a map that doesn't rely on my inadequate artistic skills...
Coming to town? You might want to stay at the Seacliffe Inn
, right on the lake, immediately after you get off the ferry from Sandusky &/or Pelee Island. Couldn't possibly be easier to find. ;)
They ignored his "crackpot theories" about the environment in the early 70's...but now that the rest of the world has finally woken up to reality, will the world allow this man to help save what's left of the planet? Are global greed, empiricism, and a general public apathy towards anything other than "right here, right now" simply too much for common sense to conquor?
(Shown above in his "personal appearance" on "The Simpsons") is the only author whose book(s) have been CONFIRMED as able to give the reader a head rush! If you did NOT feel dizzy at least once while reading "A Brief History of Time"...you probably didn't get it...but then, estimates that 95% of the copies of that book were only purchased to sit on coffee tables and impress visitors, so you're not alone. ....;^)
Michael Crichton - I'd like to tweak his nipples till his eyes water for letting them hack Timeline so badly when they made the "movie adaptation!" EXCELLENT novel...marginally acceptable movie at best. :(
I would very highly reccommend "Mulberry" to absolutely anyone! It's an incredibly well written and well acted series, good for all ages, and to top it all off, it's humourous, poignant, dramatic, emotional...you get it all with Mulberry!
This is one of the very few DVD series that I can almost guarantee you'll want to order multiple copies of to give to friends and family!
