Sounds Like
A tad more country version of James Taylor / A pitch corrected Jimmy Buffett / A folkier version of Vern Gosdin or Keith Whitley / Been told he sounds like Mac McAnally or Eddie Rabbitt / Mostly only sounds like himself
I'm glad you dropped by ... My name is Carroll Brown and I've made my living performing and recording popular and original acoustic music since 1974. For those of you who don't know me, my musical talents have been described as very good and my shows and recordings are lively and entertaining and contain songs and stories of real people and events. I play a good guitar, write a decent song and sing on pitch. My projects are professionally recorded and seldom disappoint the buyer. Much of my work is performed solo in music pubs and concert events throughout the American southeast. Many of these events are filled with college kids and some cater to older folks. I don't play with any electronic side equipment and I don't crack up any guitars in my show, but many listeners go out of the way to come back again. Many bring their parents or their friends when they return and that is a part of what motivates me to continue to do what makes my living. Supporting my family is the main reason I work as hard as I do (see
schedule). My wife (since 1976) and son and daughter are a great source of strength for me. We live on my ancestral family farm in rural central South Carolina. I'm not home enough to help much on the farm but I would never live anywhere else. Other information about my performances and traveling (including trips to Ireland) and our recordings, etc. can be found on my website at www.CarrollBrownMusic.com. For now, I'll just say.... I'm glad you found me here and I hope to see you sometime soon. Thanks for your support!
