The best singer in the world by far is ELVIS. (no last name needed!) The types of music I enjoy are pop, R & B, oldies (The ones I grew up with!)along with torch, Sinatra & that era. I dated many famous & not so famous musicians over the years, & was married to International recording artist, Stevie Woods. My father-in-law was jazz icon, Rusty Bryant. We have a daughter, Tiana Woods, who chose to follow in her family's musical footsteps & is a blues singer.

In 2003, Cheri purchased the apartment building in West Hollywood, California, which has become recognized as "The last U.S. home of Jim Morrison" lead singer of the band "The Doors." The famous Rolling Stone interview was conducted here. The rock legend and poet resided there with his girlfriend, Pamela Courson, from 1970-1971 prior to moving to Paris where he reportedly died of heart failure while in the bathtub, on 7/3/71. Although reportedly buried in Paris, Jim's spirit lives on at the building in West Hollywood where a seance was held in 2004, and in the hearts of his fans worldwide. As an Elvis fan herself, Cheri realized the cultural and historical significance of this landmark building to all of the Doors fans.

My favorite male actor is ROBERT MITCHUM. When I grew up watching him on TV, he was my "dad's age" but thanks to TCM I recently discovered the YOUNG Robert Mitchum & have become obsessed with him & collecting every movie (over 100!) he's made.

Anyone who is in the "biz," or who has an interest in learning about what really goes on behind the scenes (sex, drugs, rock 'n roll) or more important, anyone who wants to learn about our corrupt legal system or the abuse of inmates in our state prison systems, a must read is my autobiography, DEATH ROW MADAM. I name names & reveal stories that will shock you. You will not be able to put the book down!

In the 1970's and 80's, behind the scenes of Hollywood's dazzling movie studios to the top recording studios, prostitution and cocaine were the real deal makers. When international pop star Stevie Woods' record "Steal the Night" hit the charts in 1981, the record company created his "teen idol" image, hiding from fans the true facts of his personal life. In this book, for the first time, I am frankly revealing the dark secrets of Stevie's and my turbulent interracial marriage including Stevie's escalating drug use, bigamy, and the years of abuse that I suffered as a battered wife. This was only a prelude to the abuse that I was to suffer at the hands of the police.

While Stevie's cousin, Phillip Michael Thomas, was starring in the top-rated TV show "Miami Vice," I was trying to elude the L.A.P.D. vice. At the height of my reign as Hollywood starlet-turned-madam to the stars, I was stalked by an obsessed cop, whose main career goal was to put me out of the commercial sex business, and behind bars. In an act of overkill by overzealous cops, you will witness first-hand, the inner workings of a corrupt legal system that put my life to the test by destroying my marriage and my entire family leaving my daughter schizophrenic, turning my son into a white-pride skinhead later imprisoned for attempted murder, and the premature birth - and sudden death - of my baby.

Emotionally devastated, I was maliciously abandoned, financially drained, and sold down the river by my attorneys. As a result, I was sentenced to four years in the state prison on trumped-up charges which resulted from having simply arranged a blind date. I went from the arms of Sylvester Stallone to death row, housed amongst cold-blooded murderers, including the notorious Manson girls.

I will reveal the inside drug-dealing taking place by prison guards, which resulted in unsolved murders of my co-inmates, who had threatened to blow the whistle.

Having successfully smuggled my manuscript out of the prison with assistance from someone on the inside, and following my 1989 release back into society, I was only met with more obstacles - the kidnapping of my "fugitive" baby at the hands of my own mother, with whom I had also entrusted my entire life savings.

Free but homeless, I faced the conflict of whether or not to disclose my baby's whereabouts to the authorities, the very system that was determined to put her up for adoption. In order to regain custody of my child and having no other alternatives, I tracked down my long-lost former husband in Germany, now the star of the musical play "Starlight Express" and co-producer of his new hit record "Rock Me Baby."

Throughout the book, I chronicle my life in the fast lane amongst the glitz and glamour of Hollywood's most sought after stars. I open up the casting couch, a vehicle that exists for studio heads - for whom nothing is more tempting than a young, naive, beautiful girl lacking in self esteem, yet bursting with dreams and willing to do anything to fulfill them, and how I was able to turn the casting couch into a multi-million dollar business.

In the 90's, I became a prominent public figure, appearing on many television talk shows, fighting for the legalization of prostitution, and civil rights of prisoners. Although I was stripped of my glamorous life as I knew it, I was not stripped of my beliefs, one being that the government does not have the right to tell a woman who she can go to bed with, or to tell a man how he can spend his paycheck.

Sex for money has been defined as a criminal act of prostitution. But prostitution is a victimless crime. It is paid sex between two consenting adults, which should be a moral issue, not a legal one. All of us prostitute ourselves in one form or another. Everyone has a price - it's just determining what that price is. The institution of marriage is based upon financial arrangements, and even the IRS has been known to hire prostitutes for their investigations.

Many women, besides myself, have been the victims of legal corruption and police cover-ups. Just to name a few, it is believed that Vicki Morgan was killed in a government conspiracy, in order to prevent her book from being published on the sordid, sadomasochistic sex life of Alfred Bloomingdale and the Reagan administration, which you will read about in this book.

Roxanne Pulitzer, wife of Peter Pulitzer (Pulitzer Prize), lost custody of her twin toddler sons, Mac and Zac, due to her admitted kinky sex practices and cocaine use, both of which were allegedly initiated by her husband, who won custody. It is believed that Princess Grace of Monaco was murdered by the mob, because she knew too much.

In the book "Goddess" it is revealed that actor Peter Lawford frequently hired prostitutes for his parties through a madam, in which his guest list included the Kennedys. Both Darryl Gates and Ira Reiner have been committed to keeping the case of Marilyn Monroe's questionable death closed, following her association with Jack and Robert Kennedy. Ted Kennedy got a twenty-two day suspended sentence for leaving the scene of an accident, while the secretary whom he was reportedly having an affair with got a death sentence. There are two sets of rules - one for the wealthy, and one for everyone else.

There are people who are fighting to change these things. Margo St. James, the founder of C.O.Y.O.T.E. (Call Off Your Tired Old Ethics), an organization formed to promote prostitute's rights, has been an avid fighter for the cause, and a public speaker who has appeared on numerous television shows, and has had many articles written on her. Joe Conforte, the prior owner of the Mustang Ranch, insists that he will see prostitution legalized, or plans to get a referendum to the people. His brothel was seized by the IRS in 1990, and the government appointed one of their female officials to become the resident madam of the brothel!

Amazingly enough, in the state of California, qualifications for becoming a public social services worker or police officer are less than getting a cosmetology license! Yet these persons are licensed to control other people's lives.

It has been a decade since my release from prison. Sometimes, the torment I experienced seems like just yesterday. Even to this day, I still suffer from re-occurring nightmares and post-traumatic stress disorder.

The probation officers and social workers who were involved in my case used creative report writing to make up vicious lies about me, my family, and the events which led up to my arrest. If this is any indication as to how bogus cases are contrived, this is it. Some punishments fit the crime - some punishments ARE a crime.
