Once in the halls of one Riverton Elementary School trod three young girls, destined for greatness. While they based their friendship on oversized hairbows and red nailpolish, little did they know that one day their goofiness would be recognized as coolness by at first a short, gremlin-like man,
and later by two way cooler dudes that would be prepared to let the world know that these chicks will rawk sawks off.
Cut to third grade, 1998. Let us introduce the characters:
-Tara, a flower child whose chief desire in life is to be transported back 29 years to the front row at Woodstock;
Ali, an aspiring model whose idol is Gisèle Bundchen and whose favorite colors are pink and cheetah print;
-Sophia, a dancer since the age of two whose favorite song is Queens Bohemian Rhapsody.
A music career is the last thing on their minds.
Skip five years of grade school and (blech) middle school to 2003:
Now eighth graders, the girls form a band with revolving members called Condescending Smile, whose song Spaghetti Head is a minor hit. Tara starts out as manager, Ali is on drums, and Sophia is on guitar.
Later in 2005:
Tara becomes the lead singer, Ali moves to keyboards and bass, and Sophia stays on guitar, since she is good at it plus she already has numerous neon guitars and a fluorescent orange Marshall SL-X. Sophia convinces her dad to let them record a five-song EP over a weekend in his home studio. As the newly-christened glam-rock act Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, they release Mass Scare Uh three weeks later. Sales of CDs and T-shirts are brisk, and the girls become celebrities in their hometown. Standout tracks are Liar, Junior Prom, and Shut Up.
2006:
The girls go into a writing and recording frenzy, cutting an amazing 18 new tracks in 7 months, including radio-ready smash hits Discoteca, Goodbye, Palookaville, Sick, Bumblebee, and Johnny Depp. Hollywood big-shots start flying into Huntsville, Alabama, to check out the prodigious sixteen year-olds. The girls start shopping for an Airstream trailer and a mansion in Beverly Hills.
2007:
And now the world...
update Ali has left the band and is pursing a high fashion modeling career!
we wish her the best!

I hope you and your friends can make it out! $5 cover plus $3 drinks til 11pm. Check out my blog for the full details.
I swear I could have heard "DISCOTECA" in the MBK mall in Bangkok, Thailand over the speakers a few months ago! It is a "universal hit"... Palookaville rawks!
Hey, stopping by to wish you a great weekend. It's been a long week here so I am looking forward to playing some music and relaxing a bit. Hope all is well. much love ~adrian adriannrhen. com

'Another Deal' is the first single from the forthcoming Palace Of Pleasure album, scheduled for release in August/September 2008.
The single will be available as download only (iTunes etc.), but you can download it for free for a limited period at: www. myspace. com/palaceofpleasure
Yes, I managed to miss the release of the first PoP single since I joined the band (and my first single release ever!), but that's what happens when you're in the middle of the north Atlantic, running around in viking clothes. Anyway, I hope you'll follow my belated advice and check out our new tune. Download it for free and start dancing! :D
