About me: Good afternoon, I hope you are well.
My name is Daniel Locke; I divide my time between teaching (print-making and painting) and writing/drawing a mini-comic entitled 'green'. I will be serializing it here, I hope you enjoy it, but even if you don't I'd love to hear from you.
Who I'd like to meet: I would have loved to have met Freddie Mercury in 1976 or Michael Collins in 1968, but I wasn't born until '77.
Yes Wubbo Ockels is such a weird name. Even for Dutch people! Aww poor Michael. He was doing all the work while the others took all the glory for it.. :(
I think Gavin is a pretty name for an icebear. I once met a penguin called Dave.. Today is garbage day in Rotterdam. Actually it's just in my street. What day is it in your town? Where you from? You mentioned Michael Collins. So I guess Belfast or something?

Volume 2!
Last year the first volume of this "collection of illustrations inspired by lyrics from those songs that get stuck in your head all day" was a great success and people had a lot of fun interpreting their favourite lyrics!
You can download the first volume as a free pdf here:
http://www.soundofdrowning.com/soda1.html
So the time seemed ripe for a Volume 2!
The specs are the same; artwork should be A5 300 dpi. As well as a limited edition artbook of the project there will also be another free pdf of the book, which has been downloaded by a good thousand people so far.
So give vent to those earworms and get sending those submissions to the contact details on this page:

I'm really looking forward to seeing this years entries!
