Addicted2Fiction began in the summer of 2002 in NYC with Hellskiss on guitar/keys/vox & Aisha on bass/programming/drum pad/vox. Azim Bhagat (Gul) joined them on drums for a brief stint. A2F transformed into a hybrid electronic band not too long thereafter and started playing live shows all around the city as a duo. A few months later, Liz Bustamante (Spouse/Luff) joined them on drums/keys. Mustafa Bhagat performed live visuals during their performances and also shot & directed their music video for the song "All Signs Point To Yes".
Core members Aisha & Hellskiss moved to California in 2003 and put out their first EP recording entitled "Zero In" on Heartcore Records. Chris Pee (Squab) joined them for a year adding another bass player to the mix.
In March 2006, A2F put out their self-titled LP (Heartcore Records). Devlyn Darkly (Demonika & The Darklings) contributed violin on some tracks and appeared as a live special guest. John Ghadimi also joined the stage as the band's live visual artist & backup vocalist. Addicted2Fiction released their 2nd music video for the song "Mechanical Gadgets", directed by Erica Cho. The video appeared at various film festivals all over the country.
In May 2006, A2F toured China selling out one of Shanghai's most popular night clubs. Watts (Desmo Dante/Femi Tabu) joined them on drums soon after & traveled with the group on their west coast tour that year, which included a performance at the Homo A Go Go festival.
Addicted2Fiction has contributed songs to the following films & television shows:
The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift, Ethan Mao, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and The L Word. A2F also made an appearance on the television network LOGO's popular show "New Now Next". They have played several tours over the years and have shared bills with great bands such as The Gossip, Lesbians on Ecstasy, Bob Mould, Hey Willpower, Seksu Roba, EMA3 and many more.
A2F songs are all available for licensing. We can provide original music and/or visual compositions for any project, large or small. Please contact us at info@addicted2fiction.com for any licensing inquiries.
