About me: Charlene Nicole Boone is an 18 year old Virgo. Born and raise in Camden NJ, she learned quickly how to mature and take care of herself. In 2003. she was accepted into the Creative Arts High School in Camden where her whole life took a twist. Jamal Dickerson, Charlene's high school music director, introduced Charlene to the trumpet her freshman year. As humble and appreciative as Charlene is, she accepted it and sky-rocketed from there. No one believed Charlene played the clarinet before high school and new absolutely nothing about the jazz genre. Today Charlene Boone is now a high school graduate of the class of 2007. She attends Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD where she will graduate in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Music. She then plans to pursue her education with a masters at The University of the Arts in Philly. Charlene has performed and studied with some of the greatest musicians, such as Bootsie Barnes, Tony Williams,Cullen Knight, Daud El'Bakarra, Nasir Dickeson, Tim Warfield, Sean Jones, Royal Brass Band, Rebirth Brass Band and so many more. As a direct quote from Charlene,"Life is too precious to let it go to waste. So many people talk about how short life is, but life isn't short at all, not mine anyway. I love life and music is my life. Love it, take care of it, and don't give up...for joy will come in the morning"...CBoone :-)
