About me:

I am first and foremost a Mom. I have four beautiful most awesome children ever, and because of them, life has meaning for me. I only wish I could spend more time playing with them..and a little less time working... I am a single mom, and I work full time at Gamblin Artists Colors. I love my job, finally got one that I can believe in! They are environmentally conscience and make quality oil colors. I am at this time the primary mixer, and having a blast with it. I am also learning how to paint through the job with fun little sessions called "Eighth Friday" I do not own a car, and haven't since I was a teenager. I ride my bike to work every day, yes, even in the winter and rain. My reasons for biking are threefold 1. Saves me over $800 per year as compared to riding the city bus..more if compared to driving a car. 2.I am getting "up there" in age, and I want to be physically fit 3. It is good for the environment! I am a nature lover, grew up in the country, and I hate living in the city..but I have a family to support..so I deal with it. I love camping though..and if I ever get around to getting my drivers license..lol..I will be taking them on lots of camping trips! THIS. Believe it or not, is my primary reason for wanting a car. However, even if I did buy a car, I would continue to bike to work.
My friend Cathy and I just started up our own business. We are using recycled and reclaimed materials to make totes and bags. We are using sturdy materials, and are hoping to encourage people to use totes when shopping instead of paper or plastic bags. NOW is the time to change the way we treat our mother earth!
