I love when I see a rainbow, esp. when I see it before anyone else and I get to tell everyone to run outside and catch it. I love drinking coffee with a close friend and discussing personal philosophies. I love when my husband gets jealous over something little like a guy winking at me or something. Like he could have a chance! (the dude, not my husband) I love the time before a storm when the wind is streaming and the sky is red, green, purple, and dark, and my cats are crying b/c they can’t fly away into the sky with the trees. I love the late nights when John and I have gone out w/ friends, just chillin, and we are tired but very happy to be going to bed at the same time. I also love the early days when we get up to run errands together, just to be off at the same time. I love when people make a point to be extra-polite with you, at work or elsewhere. it requires effort to always be polite but it alwasy soothes me when I am stressed to know I won’t have to fight this one. It inspires me to try and do the same. I love when my friends apologize after messing up. It makes me quicker to forgive. I love when my friends actually come to me first, in private, when they have a problem with me, instead of telling everyone else first. I am a hypocrite b/c I have done the opposite before and it’s not fun. I love when people don’t try to squeeze me into a category or a box, they just say, well what are you about? And just accept me for me, if they can’t relate to it they say so but it’s like live and let live, agree to disagree. I love brightly colored cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles and everyone sharing them with frosting all over their mouths. I love weddings. I love dancing, esp. around those who would also “Die for the dance(C.Hernandez)”. I love drinking with Beverly and Melissa. I love dreaming about where I am going to go next in my Life, which country I will have dual citizenship at. I love doughnuts, Krispy Kreme in the morning and late nite. I love honesty, especially when it’s followed by understanding. I love feeling loved. I loved college, even though I grumped through the whole thing! I love fashion shows. I love watching hairstylists work, I could sit in a salon and watch them all day. I love nontraditional people, to whom it never occurs to be anything but. I love people who do not accept the mainstream b/c they are told to do so. I love challenging, I love inspiring, I love eating, I love singing at the top of my lungs. I love badass women who know they are hot and wouldn’t care even if they were butt ugly – they inspire me. I love sweet, funny guys who talk to you as a human and not as a girl. Even the rude ones are cool w/ me as long as they treat me the same as all their dude friends. I love people laughing at themselves. I love getting into a hot car after you’ve been in a freezing cold church. I love sweet sweet tea, ghetto tea. I love when people I admire want to hang out with me. I love when i take a chance, one that seems huge to me, and it turns out to be nothing huge, just an effortless breath of courage and then it’s over, and I get the benefits to reap, pride and confidence. I love telling my closest friends how much they mean to me, letting them know I don’t want them to change ever b/c we are who we are for a reason bigger than any one of us can guess.
