I read one or two of my boys' story books with them every night at bedtime, then their devotions. Otherwise, not much time for reading, although I have been getting caught up on my magazine pile while soaking in the sun at the pool this summer.
Heroes
MEN that have the strength, maturity and conviction to be the husbands and fathers their families can be proud of. There aren't many of them around anymore. Unfortuately, they are a dying breed, and the children are the ones that suffer because of it:(

I took my boys to their very first concert ever in July. Yes, there are still performers I can feel safe taking my kids to see and listen to. This night was one of those huge rewards of parenting when all of the bad days, fights, tears and frustrations fly out the door and you can just let loose and show your boys a great time and give them their first brush with fame. It was an absolutely awesome night I think they thought so too because THEY BOTH PUKED ON THE WAY HOME!!! I guess they both have excitable stomachs;) We had such a great time though. They are incredible little men:) I look forward to so many more nights like this as they grow up 'cuz that's just the way we roll!!!

That cat that looks like the joker is pretty scary! Hey, I see you must have (or had is more like it) Open Season. That is Tim's favorite movie and he keeps telling us we need to see it, but I haven't seen it listed on TV Guide yet. Thanks....I got an e-mail card from Grammy too. We both cried, Eric probably more so cause he knew I would, but he was pretty upset, too. Even though he was a little !*it. We're ok though...knew it would happen sooner or later, but thought it would be much later. He wasnt afraid of anything though, like precious who got hit at moms right before we went to FL. She was a good kitty though.
