The ink-based promises you can make to yourself.
So you're not sure you can keep that New Year's resolution you drunkenly came up with an hour before 2017 hit? It's alright. Going vegetarian, quitting smoking, working out more, waking up earlier, or whatever it was you tried to do for a full 48 hours was probably overrated anyway.
But one thing we can all keep true to ourselves is on some tattoo-based resolutions. You've got the whole year to cover these, and there's no reason you can't start them today. Sit back and enjoy some of the ways you can ensure your ink in 2017 won't suck nearly as bad as it has in years past.
Tie Your Existing Tattoos Together
Do you have that one part of your body with at least a few tattoos (maybe where your collection started) that don't really go together? Maybe your skin looks like a hodgepodge of a collage thrown together by an elementary school student with scissors and a glue stick? It happens to the best of us. The good news is the right artist (perhaps whoever did your favorite piece out of that area) can likely put a background or some little gap-fillers to make each of those beautiful tattoos look a little more cohesive. It may never look like a sleeve or a full back piece, but it'll look more like an elegant medley than a mishmash of tattoos you didn't think through.
