NYC-based singer orchestrates one hell of a confetti massacre.
Is millennial angst a thing now? Looking at New York City-based musician Junius Karr it certainly seems so. While the song itself, which serves as the second single off The Late Great Junius Karr EP, soothes us with distorted vocals, big chorus and a cathartic guitar solo, the video for “Don’t Break Down The Door, I’m Still Inside” echoes the teenage-doomsday-is-coming '90s offerings from cult director Gregg Araki such as Nowhere and The Doom Generation.

Karr is happy to confirm that he didn’t skip film history classes while making this ambitious video: “All of my favorite movies have this moment where the drama climaxes and a song comes on that complements it perfectly. I wanted to make a moment like that. And to lay beside a pile of dead people."
Now that’s a refreshing goal for a popstar-in-the-making.
