Los Angeles-based producer/singer/songwriter David Choi had his first taste of success in 2004 after winning the grand prize in David Bowie's Mash-Up Contest, as well as landing first place in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for Teens.
The multi-instrumentalist, who specializes in jazz and soul-infused pop balladry along the lines of Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars, and even Michael Bublé, found overnight Internet fame in 2006 with the comical “YouTube (A Love Song),” which received nearly three million views. Choi released his debut album, Only You, in 2008, followed by By My Side in 2010 and Forever and Ever in 2011. ~ James Christopher Monger
