Bob Ketchum grew up in a world of hunting and fishing resorts in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains.
His father was a world champion skeet shooter and his mother a professional entertainer and radio broadcaster. He isa 1964 graduate of Admiral Farragut Academy naval military school. He got into radio broadcasting during the Golden Age of Top 40 radio and later helped pioneer AOR radio in the 70’s in the South. A professional musician since 1964, he earned a RIAA-Certified Gold Record for playing drums on Freddy Fender's “Wasted Days &Wasted Nights" in 1975. He returned back home to build his own recording studio after getting shot at a gig in Tulsa in the 70’s. In the 80’s he received two more RIAA-Certified Gold Records while working with the Swiss metal band KROKUS.He has an independent record label and has maintained a music publishing affiliation with BMI for over 30 years. He started the video production company 1982. His monthly blog “News From The Woods” has been in publication since the 80’s and has been online since the mid-90’s. He has just finished writing his memoirs, “Face The Music”, which is now available as an eBook release.
